Putting together a healthy meal that your children will eat is not always as difficult as it sounds. Even with picky eaters, you can generally find something that they like, that is not too difficult to make. One great way to go about finding the perfect meals for your family is to try out a few different things.
Many parents start to feel like short order cooks after a while. If you are making a different meal for each person in the house, it can get very stressful. Instead, a good option is to talk as a family about the things that people do and do not like, then go from there. Set aside a week or two where you make a new meal each night. Incorporate some of the family favorites, but also try a few new meals, as well. This will give everyone the opportunity to try something new, and hopefully add a few more favorites to the list.
One of the best things that a family can do to get their meals together is to plan ahead. Plan your meals for at least a few days, and make sure you have everything you need for the meals. This will keep you from turning to TV dinners or something quick from a box when you realize you don’t have the right ingredients. Another optin that many families implement is freezer meals. with freezer meals, the family will spend the weekend cooking, and have the dinners for the week ready to go, but stored in the freezer.
